As the sun rose from the rolling hills, I reached for my palette knife for this original landscape painting. By blending several techniques I was able to capture the stunning glowing pinks and oranges of the sky, as well as the wispy lightly shifting flow of clouds through the sky. Then in changing my approach I created a contrasting texture in the snowy forest below. When the art finally came together, I was blown away at just how gentle and warming the piece was and am delighted to offer it to inspire a little warmth in your own space.
