Queen of the Spiders | The Seductive Temptress

Ah yes, the Queen of the Spider Poster, or the poisoned temptress. This is a character archetype that many of us are familiar with, throughout historical and modern storytelling. Even the idea of the black widow has worked its way into our minds, to serve as a warning. There are people out there who utilize their attraction to lure others into a sense of false security and temptation. And once the guard is down, they pull out the fangs and start sucking blood. Perhaps this is why, the temptress is often associated with the spider.

I really utilized contrast in this Queen of the Spiders Poster to show the two sides of the temptress. On one hand, she is a powerful beast with long spider legs that powerfully maneuver her and her victims to their doom. But on the other side, we see the softness in her dress and gaze. She is not all bad, makes you wonder what made her so. Was she always a spider, is she cursed, is she being forced by some manipulation of her own to be evil. Do you dare find out?
